I began my Air Force career in 2005 as a Security Forces Member and an Airman Basic/E-1. My first duty station was Kadena Air Base, Okinawa, Japan and I was assigned to the 18th Security Forces Squadron under the 18th Wing. My certifications ranged from Restricted Area Entry Controller, Installation Entry Controller, Internal/External Security Response Team Member, Security Area Supervisor, Junior and Senior Patrolman. While assigned to the 18th SFS, I was deployed to Camp Bucca, Iraq with the 886th Expeditionary Security Forces Squadron under the Army's 16th Military Police Brigade (Airborne) and I performed Detainee Operations. I was also temporarily assigned to the 51st Security Forces Squadron at Osan Air Base, Republic of Korea as part of an augmentation force to support the United States Forces Korea during Operations Foal Eagle and Key Resolve. I moved from Kadena Air Base in 2009 to Whiteman Air Force Base in Missouri. Finally I became assigned to the 509th Security Forces Squadron under the historic 509th Bomb Wing. While assigned to the 509th SFS, I gained certifications as a Security Response Team Member and Leader, Protection Level 2 Area Supervisor, Law Enforcement Patrolman/Area Supervisor and Law Enforcement Desk Sergeant/Automated Entry Control System Operator. I was awarded two Nuclear Special Experience Identifier (NSEI) codes. I left active service in 2014 to pursue other career opportunities.
