Was able to help get “Emily’s Law” passed in 2009 in the state of Ohio, regulating pharmacy technicians. Prior to Emily’s Law, there was absolutely no oversight of pharmacy technicians by the Ohio State Pharmacy Board.Over the past decade, established The Emily Jerry Foundation as a leading force for a positive transformation in how our society, and more importantly, how the medical community, responds to preventable medical errors when they occur. This has been accomplished by inspiring a shift in the traditional thoughts, attitudes, and opinions about patient safety and getting everyone to focus on the “modification” of the internal systems, processes, and protocols, in medicine, before and after a catastrophic adverse event occurs.Have given more than 150 presentations, keynote speeches, and lectures, at various hospitals, universities, and before many professional organizations around the nation, like the American Hospital Association (AHA) and their individual state affiliates, the Institute for Safe Medication Practices (ISMP), and many others. Approximately 70%, or more, of these are CME or CE accredited.Working in conjunction with the American Society of Health System Pharmacists (ASHP), established a very objective national program called The Emily Jerry Foundation’s Pharmacy Technician Initiative and Scorecard. This program has been extremely successful in helping other states around the country to pass more comprehensive legislation similar to “Emily’s Law” to protect their residents from unintended pharmacy technician errors in the pharmacy.Successfully developed and implemented the Emily Jerry Foundation’s GUARDIAN ANGEL Pediatric Safe Label Program that is helping to significantly reduce the number of adverse drug events with children and neonates.Received the HIMSS 2014 Intelligent Hospital’s Award for Education

Established Vidar Systems Corporation as the industry leader for X-Ray film digitizers in two years time, effectively making Vidar’s digitizers the new standard in the industry. Developed a comprehensive “Hot Swap” program providing our OEM partner’s end-user customers 24 to 48 hour replacement of digitizers that require service. Successfully negotiated and established large OEM reseller contracts with all of the major PACS and teleradiology manufactures worldwide. These companies include Siemens Medical Systems, Philips Medical Systems, Fuji Medical Systems, Marconi Medical, SECTRA Imtec, etc. Top Sales Manager in terms of new business generated in 2000 and 2001. Managed and developed an extensive distribution network throughout Europe.

Performed consistently as one of the top sales achievers. Developed and managed ongoing international OEM business relationships in the forensics, PACS (Picture Archival and Communications Systems) and teleradiology vertical markets. Directly accountable to the President of Codonics for the management and performance of over 50 distributors worldwide. Managed key OEMs that were primarily Fortune 500 companies.

Responsible for managing distribution channels and dealers throughout the western half of the United States. Interviewed, selected, and trained new distributors. Expanded business into different geographic regions and new vertical markets. Developed and successfully implemented various marketing and promotional campaigns that increased sales through the distribution network. Collaborated with distributors to secure ultimate success with strategic accounts.

Recognized as the company’s top Sales Manager two years in a row. Contributed 28% to the company’s overall gross profit margin the first year and almost 33% the second year. Sold imaging equipment primarily to microscopy laboratories within Fortune 500 corporations, hospitals, and various governmental agencies. Managed a territory encompassing six states. Established and actively oversaw an extensive manufacturers’ representative network.

Represented twenty-seven manufacturers of computer chips and board level products. Developed and managed a territory including all of northeast Ohio and western Pennsylvania. Expanded a market area from sales of $150K to $1M in the first year. Assimilated the interworking of a small representative firm including time territory management and basic organizational skills.
