I take great pride and enjoyment in helping fellow veterans during their transition from military culture and structure to that of civilian life through higher education. Administratively, my office is responsible for certifying enrollment and changes in enrollment of eligible servicmemers and dependents to the Department of Veterans Affairs. Additional areas of responsibility include informing VA of a Student's academic status, ensuring prior credit is evaluated and applied to Student's program of education properly as well as keeping eligible students informed of veteran/dependent friendly programs and benefits offered within the university and surrounding local community. Other areas of assignment include detail record and file management, data tracking and analysis, benefits package briefings and presentations, engaging university and local community leadership on key issues surrounding those eligible for VA Educational Benefits.

Served as the First Sergeant for a Distribution Company within a Brigade Support Battalion. Senior enlisted adviser to the Company Commander on all matters to include duty assignments, promotions, military justice, awards and equal opportunity; supervise a headquarters section and two platoons consisting of supply chain management and distribution, supply stock control management, ammunition transfer and holding, water purification, and petroleum operations; responsible for the health, morale, and welfare of 90 Soldiers as well as unit discipline, company counseling, retention, and sponsorship programs; oversee the planning, coordination, supervision and reinforcement of Army Warrior Tasks and Battle Drills as well as Non-commissioned Officer Professional Development.
