A result-oriented engineer/ professional with around 30 years of experience in Ship-Shore Operation, Maintenance, Repairs, Budget preparation and management primarily on Gas tankers, Oil & Chemical Tanks, VLCC and Asphalt Carrier.After graduation (BE Mech) in 1991, commenced sailing in 1992 & rose to ranks of CE in 2003 (sailing in various types of vessels Gas & Product Tankers). The Gangway bridged as well as cemented my understanding to evolve as great team player on ship & shore.Over 14 years’ experience ashore in senior ship management role as fleet manager & fleet superintendent with a reputed Ship Management company in Singapore, Hongkong and Inda. 3 years I was independently managing Fleet of 24 vessels (Gas Tanker / VLGC /Ethylene Tanker / Ammonia Carrier / Oil & Chemical Tanker / Asphalt Carrier) which includes direct charge of handling 1 - Ethylene, 2 - VLGC, 1 - Ammonia carrier and 1- Oil/Chemical Tanker trading worldwide with multinational crew complement and was also supervising a Team of 4 - Technical Superintendent, 3-Marine Superintendent, 4-Technical Officer & 3-Fleet personnel officer. Reporting directly to Technical Director / Assistant Fleet Director / Managing Director. Coordinated and monitored the safe and efficient operation of the fleet in accordance with highest global standards of international ship management, relevant legislation and quality standards. I was the first point of contact for all the owners in the fleet. Have maintained good relationship with Owner’s representative (European / Japanese / Chinese / Thailand / Malaysian) in understanding their short- and long-term requirements and ensured compliance.Successfully negotiated with docks to get best prices/discounts and completed dry docking of 18 vessels (At Rotterdam/Singapore/Japan/Thailand/Curacao/China) within estimated budget and time which included 13 Gas Carrier (VLGC/Ethylene/Ammonia/Fully Pressurized), 4 Chemical Tanker (Stainless Tanks) & 1 Container vessel.Installed and commissioned Booster & Vaporizer skid during the dry-docking of one VLGC.Taken over one new built Ethylene tanker from Besiktas shipyard Turkey. Attended pre commissioning trail and gas trail during takeover.
