Profile bio

About Chris Till (Phd)

👋 Hello! 👋👨 My name is Chris Till and I am a  Knowledge Transfer Manager in the AgriFood team at IUK BC.❎ I work in a cross-cutting capacity to forge powerful connections for farmers, innovators, researchers and businesses, identify appropriate and transformative funding, and drive innovation in this sector nationally and internationally.📄 Before joining Innovate UK Business Connect, I was a senior research analyst at the Ellen MacArthur Foundation, working to accelerate the transition to a circular economy. Firstly, I drove data analysis and insight reporting for the Global Commitment programme in the Plastics initiative, before returning to my expertise in the food production sector, where I helped develop a new strategic program to regenerate landscapes. This involved working with large international companies and innovation organisations to instil upstream circular design for food principles in their sustainable sourcing strategies to maximise the output of regenerative production.🔬Prior to this I was a senior research scientist in a SME specialising in the production of novel biological nitrogen fertilisers, building on my skills and knowledge learnt during my PhD in molecular plant biology from the University of Nottingham and Rothamsted research. I am deeply passionate about all aspects of food production, especially farmer led innovation.

Listed skills include Research, Scientific Writing, Molecular Biology, Plant Science, and 42 others.
