While heading The Johnson Group, Inc., Mr. Johnson has simultaneously coached thousands of kids in the Elk Grove and Sacramento Area over the last 14 years. In March of 2010, Mr. Johnson started Chris Johnson Basketball Academy, (CJBA). When asked why he decided to start CJBA, he explained, "This is my way of giving back to my community.   My passion is coaching and inspiring kids through the game of basketball.  I love watching kids develop their game, while teaching them life lessons to be used on and off the court.  Basketball is a powerful tool to encourage discipline, team work, work ethic, determination, and integrity. All skills to be successful in this game of life." Under Mr. Johnson’s leadership, CJBA impacts over 500 kids per year through its basketball camps, monthly academy, aau program, and clinics. Last year, CJBA teamed with VSP Vision Care and Positive Coaching Alliance (PCA) to provide a free Tyreke Evans basketball camp for disadvantaged youth in the Oak Park community. Mr. Johnson promoted, hosted, and directed the camp and attracted over 250 kids to the event. Staff of The Johnson Group, Inc. served as camp coaches for the event. Mr. Johnson joined Aerotek a National Recruiting Firm in 2003 as a Technical Recruiter in the Environmental & Engineering Division.  He quickly climbed to the top and was recognized as the “Number One Recruiter in the West Coast” and as one of the top recruiters in the nation.    Christopher was then promoted to Account Manager (Business Development), and was asked to open a brand new division of Architecture & Engineering.  He took an undeveloped market from $0 to $35,000 in weekly gross profit in 11 months. He was then recognized as the number one Account Manager in the nation.
