Upon acceptance of customer sales orders, developed an intensive strategy of materials procurement and operational flow of both manufactured and pre-fabricated products. Coordinated with all in house departments including, purchasing, fabrication, machining, paint, assembly, and shipping to ensure proper scheduling was in place and all deadlines were adhered to. Managed all sub-contract machining (both manual and CNC HBM, VTL, lathe, multiple gear cutting machines) and fabrication services through an understanding of vendor capabilities and knowledge of processes while always maintaining budgetary and scheduling integrity. Through manufacturing drawing review, developed processing sequence router steps of manufactured parts to ensure proper machining and welding sequences were used as well as proper material compatibility being adhered to. Maintained customer interface throughout the life of projects to ensure both customer satisfaction needs were met as well as change orders followed with minimal scheduling setbacks. Worked closely with the in house as well as customer engineering groups to optimize drawings in an effort to minimize manufacturing discrepancies and have real life manufacturing scenarios mimic drawing layouts. Maintained vendor relations as well as seek out and develop new vendors for both buyout products as well as manufactured items. Reported directly to the drilling equipment project manager on status of all projects from an overall prospective as well as component level items.
