Residential landscape design and construction. We design and install planting beds, stone patios and walls, fire pits and fireplaces, water features, patios, and pergolas.

Design landscape and hardscape documents for mid to high-end residential homes. Drawings are executed using CAD or hand drafting skills. Once a contract is executed between the designer and the client, survey information is gathered. With an accurate base drawing to work off of, a conceptual design is developed. After getting the client’s approval the next step is construction documents. Depending on the scope, the drawings may include: hardscape details, planting plan, plant list, dimensions, construction material callouts, and spot grades if needed. The design scope may include: pools, spas, water features, patios, fire pits, fireplaces, grilling areas, and shade structures.

Responsibilities included managing and executing landscape architecture projects from design through construction administration, anywhere from small to large multi-million dollar projects. Took lead on several projects, acting as the prime consultant on multi-disciplinary teams. Design services consisted of: master planning, design development, construction documents, details, construction administration, cost estimates, write proposals, coordination between disciplines, and public involvement facilitation. Assisted public studio team in setting up CAD standards. Types of projects included passive and active parks, commercial, multi-family, and retail.

Managed several commercial, office, parks, healthcare, private residential, public, community, and resort projects. Services included: design hardscape and planting plans, master planning, details, prepared cost estimates, construction administration, and drafted construction documents in AutoCAD.

Draft complete sets for highly detailed commercial and residential projects. Designed planting and irrigation plans for contemporary gardens. Managed job sites during construction for landscape, hardscape, and irrigation installations.
