As Director of Operations my primary focus was on implementing best practices for Purchasing, Warehouse, Fulfillment, and Manufacturing by strategically leveraging the ERP/MRP system to maximize efficiency and impact. Utilizing lean methodologies and integrating manufacturing and operational plans finished goods inventory were reduced by 70%, raw material inventory by 25%, service levels were increased to over 99%, and custom order to fulfillment was reduced 75%. Operational contribution to COGS was significantly reduced (50%) by negotiating key raw materials pricing, optimizing purchasing volumes, implementing manufacturing automation, and maximizing equipment utilization.During the period executing on brand strategy and development was also a top priority. Initially brought on to MHR Brands in the role of Manufacturing Manager my primary focus was to prepare the company for expansion and to build credibility within the market. In executing on this task key transitions were required to enable success. Team development and focused skill improvement was critical. The manufacturing portion of the ERP system required a full overall which included implementing Planning & Forecasting, Change Controls, System Data, and BOM best practices. GDP & Quality systems were developed and integrated into production. Processes documentation for all aspects of production from interacting with the ERP system to building product were documented and integrated into the ERP. Significant efficiency gains were realized by implanting proper equipment use. Through all the improvements to manufacturing an accurate system generated COGS process was developed significantly improving accuracy of corporate financials and the ability to measure performance.
