Provide leadership to the day to day operations of Fraternity and Sorority Life as well as Volunteer Service Programs, by supervising two student workers and fulfilling other roles as a member of the Student Life team. Advise and develop the Executive Council officers and the general membership of the Interfraternity, National Pan-Hellenic and Panhellenic Councils and other auxiliary groups, as well as the Service Council. Act as the liaison between undergraduates, alumni/a, inter/national headquarter staff, campus administrators, faculty and staff and the greater community of central Iowa, by serving on a variety of committees, on and off campus. Initiate and develop relationships with local agencies to create new opportunities for students to serve in the community.

Provide academic advisement for 600 undergraduate business students and to participate in the recruitment and orientation of high school graduates and transfer students. Prepare students for registration each term, assist students in applying for the professional program, provide one-on-one mentoring for students on academic probation and evaluate and handle requests for changes in schedule. Teach BusAd 101 (first year orientation course) class specific to learning communities and coordinate Business Learning Teams (College of Business learning communities) by hiring and training Peer Mentors, assigning learning team communities.

Assist the Associate Athletic Director by supervising graduate assistants and department interns, organize annual student athlete educational programs, leadership development opportunities/trainings, career development and community service/philanthropic activities. Advise the Student Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC), the student athlete’s leadership group, to support the needs and growth of the organization and their impact on our campus community. Serve as an Academic Advisor by coordinating registration, major declaration, tutoring and working with student athletes with learning difficulties and disabilities. Also worked with specific sports teams providing academic support to student athletes during travel and meeting with potential recruits.

Provide administrative leadership and supervised the Greek Affairs staff, including one full-time support person, three graduate students and student workers, oversee regular staff meetings, staff trainings and area budget, as well as provide and support professional development opportunities. Produce annual academic, chapter accreditation, recruitment statistics and other regular department reports, and served as the Chair of the University committee for fraternity and sorority affairs (the Greek Life Standards Board).
