CurrentWorking as a team to design, build and test a mission-specific plane for a national aeronautics competition. As head of the Aerodynamics team, designed and modelled the plane’s wings, fuselage, and tail to give the plane the best performance. Also did extensive modelling and CAD design using Solidworks and led a team which analyzed the plane’s drag, lift and other aerodynamic properties with the aid of XFLR5 and StarCCM+ and included these analyses as a part of a 60 page report on the plane’s design, construction, and overall performance. In addition, worked in fabrication to create composite structures using fiberglass and carbon fiber and performed various static structural tests on vital plane structures.
