I have a proven record of effective strategic change management and leadership, which has contributed to innovative intelligence-lead service design and substantial improvements across children and families’ directorate. Over my time in Barnet I have led and driven a complete redesign of strategic and operational systems responding to adolescents and adults at risk of exploitation, trafficking, serious youth violence and those who are missing. The work that I lead in my organisation is often cited as being innovative used by other local authorities and has contributed to my borough moving from an inadequate Ofsted judgement in 2017 to being graded as ‘good’ within a two-year period. https://files.ofsted.gov.uk/v1/file/50088889. Throughout my time in Barnet I have overseen various successful funding bids from the; Home Office, Violence Reduction Unit and London Crime Prevention Fund, totalling over £1.8million that has driven innovation community capacity building and practice reform as well as galvanising new partnerships with statutory and voluntary organisations. Throughout my career I have developed a varied skill set working both operationally and on strategic level. I am committed to my professional development; I hold a degree in Strategic Management and Leadership (2:1), Diploma in Social Work, PRINCE2 foundation and practitioner’s qualification, and an Advanced Systemic Family Therapy qualification.
