Manage 60 employees across seven sites catering to 450 at-risk youth referred via schools and social workers in Vancouver. Part of my role involves managing stakeholder relationships and non-profit partnerships to ensure successful programming and safe spaces for our youth during breaks when schools are closed. Leading with trauma-informed practice and positive child guidance strategies. Additionally, I designed and implemented the "Young Leaders Program" to help youth transition into high school and prepare for more responsibility as they enter their next phase of development.

Life as a scripted development intern means I read screenplays (TV/Features/Shorts) every week and write up coverage for the higher-ups to see. I review screenplays, pitch decks, books/IP for consideration, one-pagers, etc.

Youth Worker (September 2020-August 2022)I work with youth (ages 13-17) on a one-to-one basis with a focus on developing pro-social skills and goal setting and encouraging them to utilize resources within their local community.Attending weekly or bi-weekly check-ins with youth.Documenting concerns/worries in youth logs and strategizing long-term solutions for youth’s continued successPlanning and supervising youth events so youth can further build connections within their community.Assisting vulnerable youth by assessing what they need to find success.Site Coordinator (March 2019-August 2023):Promote an environment of inclusivity and learning.Lead a team of five to seven staff to effectively supervise forty kids from ages 5-12.“Child Led” approach to programming the shape of the day.Conflict resolution and mediation; teaching children to problem solve.Using First Aid as needed.Additional Courses on “Trauma Informed Care”, “Healthy Eating” etc.Developing and training new staff to succeed by encouraging solid relationships with children and nurturing staff’s strengths. Ensuring all health and safety measures are being adhered to in accordance with Vancouver Coastal Health and VSB policies.
