Chris is a Humanities teacher specialising in Sociology and Senior Leader with a particular interest in personal development, PSHE and making the classroom accessible to every child.Having worked for a Media company in London for 8 years, Chris trained to teach after two years in the classroom as a teaching assistant, working his way up to a senior leadership position. Training as a History teacher, Chris experienced all aspects of the Humanities department, inclusive of Geography, Religious Studies, PSHE and Sociology at a mainstream secondary school in Essex. Chris is currently in his second year of the Difference Leadership programme, where he is Assistant Principal at Springwell Alternative Academy in Grantham. In his placement so far, he worked on developing the PSHE programme across Secondary, creating links with the local community and triangulating with the emerging safeguarding needs.Chris is also a GCSE examiner for Sociology AQA, alongside a keen interest in sport, namely football and golf, Chris likes to visit different cities in Germany.Chris is particularly interested to connect about: CPD, safeguarding and wellbeing
