As you may have heard, I’ve added another "hat". This year, I’m part of a very interesting project - Edventours that brings high school students from all over the world here for short-term programs! The students are chosen to participate in the program based on their curiosity, maturity level, personality, and English skills. They come with monthly stipends, full medical insurance and an active Local Coordinator (me!) who works closely with them. This year, I’m part of a very interesting project - Edventours that brings high school students from all over the world here for short-term programs! The students are chosen to participate in the program based on their curiosity, maturity level, personality, and English skills. They come with monthly stipends, full medical insurance and an active Local Coordinator (me!) who works closely with them. The teens are eager to know the real America, not the America on TV or the America reported in newspapers, and live "like a local."Over the next few months, I will be looking for families who are interested in hosting my great students. Host families come in all shapes and sizes, with or without kids. Families are asked to provide a bed (a room can be shared with a host sibling same gender and close in age), 3 meals at home per day and a positive environment to share our America. This is an incredible opportunity to "bring the world in" for a couple of weeks and get so close to the culture that no trip could ever provide.
