The original beta product was built utilizing an outside Rails consulting company. Groove decided to move development in-house and I was the first hire.With a team of 2 other developers, helped build out the Groove platform to point of generating $100k/month utilizing Rails, Backbone and Coffeescript.

Worked with management, design teams and operations to plan for the rebuilding of dishonline.com. The original dishonline.com was shown to upper management 2 years ago as a proof of concept. During the meeting, management mandated that the POC be put into production. The plan for the current project is to refresh the customer experience.Led team of 4 developers to rebuild dishonline.com. Our goal was to build a new front-end for the existing system as a separate application. The technologies of choice were Backbone, Backbone.Marionette and Coffeescript. As a team, we have managed to build in 3 months what initially took 2 years.

Worked remotely with a team of in-house developers along with an exterior consulting agency to rebuild a failed project. The original project was still in development after 3 years. The rebuild was released in 7 months.Wrote code and managed the process of migrating private health information from a 10 year old Solaris/Oracle based system into the new Rails/Postgres system. * The design of the previous system was extremely complicated. During the migration process, we were able to represent the 500,000+ records within 12 database tables. The legacy system contained 87 tables.

Worked with RoundPegg through the 2010 Boulder TechStars program to bring a viable product to market. Developed a campaign asset management system front end utilizing ASP.NET (C#) and Sql Server 2000. Product supported the assembly, distribution and usage reporting for large marketing campaigns at Microsoft.Built a composite server control to support ad-hoc searching of system components and assemblies. Server control supported data binding and exposed custom events (and event args) for communicating results to the hosting page.Built a composite server control to support dynamically adding/modifying/deleting of component distribution channels. Server control supported data binding and controlled internal control state via event handlers.Re-architected commercial comb box component which the client purchased. The control originally supported data binding but did not support restoring state from ViewState. Modifications were made to the control to properly utilize CreateChildControls and DataBind methods. In the role of lead developer, built an ASP.NET (C#) application to support the technical writing team for the Windows UA development group. Responsibilities included database design/implementation (Sql Server 2000), site architecture, authentication/authorization implementation, and custom control development.All ASP.NET pages were subclassed from a base page. Base page structure was built by parsing an xml file and including user controls common to all pages.User controls were built to represent items common to all pages (i.e. menus, headers, etc).The application allowed for the submission, editing and searching of a release notes and knowledge based articles. Submissions were based on a set of standard questions as well as a set of dynamic questions that could be assigned to projects by an administrator.Web interface included the ability to administer users, roles, features, feature owners, projects and products.Authentication was implemented via web service interaction with an in-house ADSI sever.Application was built on a three tiered architecture with data being passed between layers in datasets. The data access layer utilized the MS Data Access Block with a few customizations to better suit the needs of the application.Created all stored procedures which were the sole method of moving data between the data access layer and MS SQL Server 2000.

Developed an internet based application to allow one or more presenters to conduct polls, see the results in real time, publish results to attendees, and view reports on votes and voters after the event. The real time user interface relied heavily on custom JavaScript/DHTML objects. Reporting was done using Java servlets and JSP pages.Developed the interface for a JavaScript/DHTML application for one or more presenters to push slides to a webcast audience. The interface communicated with a java applet to push slides to all viewers.Developed a registration and authentication system for the viewing of both live and archived broadcasts using ASP, VB, ADO, MTS, MSMQ and SQL Server 2000/7.0Designed and implemented the web portion of a client facing internet based teleconferencing product using ASP, Active Server Components, JavaScript, Netshow, Remote Scripting and SQL Server 6.5.
