Construction Mechanic, currently assigned as a floor supervisor for earth moving equipment, cranes, trucks, and trailers, as well as automotive equipment.

As a CM, I am responsible for the maintenance and repair of Civil Engineer Support Equipment(CESE) for use in the Naval Construction Force and Naval Expeditionary Combat Command. Current job titles are Repair Parts Petty Officer, Crane Mechanic, with collateral duties of DPAS representative and soon Purchase Card Holder. I have attended 3 field exercises, been fully deployed twice, with a third broken up deployment due to operational requirements. Operating experience includes MTVR trucks(tractor, flatbed, filed service), MRAP( Cat I/II, MATV), Skytrack 11k telehandler, John Deere 444 12k forklift, Hyster 4/6k's, CAT 924G wheel loaders, vibratory rollers, 420D backhoe. Minor operating experience goes to D6(K/T) and D7 dozer, 120M road grader, JD 325/326 skid steer, JD 200CLC excavator, Cat 303 mini excavator, as well as Link Belt 8640 40T and Hylab 108.5 50T cranes and accessories. Rifle qualification stands at sharpshooter, and pistol is expert. Minor experience is given to the 240B MG.

As a field technician, was responsible for the testing of concrete and soil for quality assurance and building suitability, reporting results back to the company lab. Concrete testing included slump, temperature, air entrainment, as well as creating 4x8 or 6x12 cylinders for compression testing. Soil testing involved both radiological and DCP. Operated personal truck, sometimes a company truck, and transported test cylinders to the lab. When necessary, I assisted lab worker with testing and recording results, and handled clean up of the lab.

While attending trade school for diesel mechanics, I worked as an assistant to boat mechanics and riggers, handling just as much work independently to achieve work requirements. Operated 2 different model yard tractors(Kubota) for moving trailered boats around, a 4K forklift, and assisted marine forklift(Wiggins, 20k) operators with boat lifts. Utilizing previous welding skill set, fabricated a rack system for shop supplies.
