Having the right SAP 'toolkit' is essential - whether that's hands-on skills or the right growth mindset. It's what we try to do to make sure everyone can fulfil their potential. Having a background in 'business roles' through to analyst roles, functional roles, lead and manager roles has enabled my own toolkit to develop to keep the wheels moving in a qualitative way. Having an ITIL foundation and using tools such as ServiceNow (which allows us to be quantitative) help us with our mission to deliver an excellent service. I do have fondness for Requirements Engineering which is why I wanted to have accreditation from BCS / the British Computer Society. Understanding requirements, capturing them, challenging them and then delivering requires several 'hats' where a PM role is seemingly always present. Add to this some SAP certification and we have a good foundation to achieve anything: I'm always ready to jump into a new process or where something is totally unknown: let's take a deep dive (and document it) : sometimes that can be challenging and takes us out of our comfort zone for us and our stakeholders because no-one like uncertainty - but this takes us step by step to whatever is our end goal and is what drives value. It's what we do, and I encourage anyone interested in SAP to do the same.
