Working as a technician at PAS doing laboratory based food sampling and testing in a grade 2 UKAS accredited laboratory looking for microbiological contamination. Sampling and reading of various agar and rapid methods for the detection of different bacteria. In charge of IQC and QM testing within the lab. Trainer for Path lab methods.

Ran a small in house micro lab checking both the yeast and beer at various stages for contamination. Looked after the yeast stock ensuring levels were aporpriate for the beer being produced. Organoleptic Quality checking of finished bottled product from on site bottling plant.

Worked on the automation of a novel rapid detection machine for Salmonella using new technology. Aided and problem solved problems to enable a switch from a manual to automatic system.
