I'm passionate about changing how people learn through technology. I spent the better part of the past 20 years focused on building tools that can help students reach their goals by helping each other. Recently, I’ve started a new venture in fintech to help people achieve their financial goals. My path has been non-traditional, but that's what makes it fun. Accepted to Wisconsin's Medical School after high school, I attended the University of Wisconsin (Go Badgers!) as a 4th generation Badger. I completed my undergraduate degrees in Biomedical Engineering and Computer Science. Before my senior year, I decided to take a detour and pursue acting by enrolling in New York's Atlantic Acting School, created by David Mamet and William H. Macy. Upon graduating from Wisconsin, I took an additional detour to work as a Securities Analyst for a small, but incredibly successful hedge fund. These experiences and connections combined to become the necessary ingredients behind the founding of StudyBlue. 20 million students and 500+ million crowdsourced ideas later, StudyBlue became one of the leading learning platform for US College students.My current focus has turned back to the investing world. It’s overly complicated and the barriers to entry for average investors are unnecessarily high. We’re looking to change that at Accountable Finance. The people I've met and worked with along the way have been amazing and I'm looking forward to many more great connections.
