Rolling Stock Project Manager – Heathrow Airport December 2018 – March 2020 Managing the introduction of the Class 378 Electrostar ETCS fitted fleet from a Heathrow perspective and also decommissioning and disposing of the existing Class 360-2 and Class 332 Fleets. Overhaul Programme Manager Siemens Dec 2015 – December 2018 Class 332 2nd 1 Million Mile Overhaul Greater Anglia Class 360-1 1.25 Million Mile Overhaul Class 374 Eurostar R1 Overhaul governed by a TSSSA contract, this project required the build and commissioning of an entire new bogie overhaul facility in Lincoln by Siemens and significant investment to enable this overhaul to be undertaken.

I report directly to the Chief Engineer and act as his deputy and as such am involved in the delivery of a wide variety of strategic projects to reduce costs and streamline controlled processes. These include new process flows for the management of engineering change, migration to cloud computing for the control of technical documents and drawings, outsourcing of design authority and procurement of offshore engineering services. The role has a significant safety aspect and includes audit of internal/external compliance to regulatory standards and investigation into any safety related incidents involving Eversholt owned assets or its suppliers.

Member of the Projects & Procurement team based in London responsible for delivering a wide portfolio of rolling stock projects. Eversholt Rail, previously HSBC Rail is a leading rail leasing company with a portfolio of aprox 3500 passinger vehciles which encompases about 1/3 of the UK passinger rolling stock market.Recent Projects:Class 321 demonstrator projectProject Engineering Manager responsible for Class 321 demonstrator project - £4.5 million budget project to re-engineer a midlife Class 321 EMU unit to demonstrate to the leasing market what could be achieved instead of replacement with new build EMU’s. Included total interior redesign from ground up including design and installtion of saloon and cab HVAC systems and associated power systems. Project Engineering Manager on Class 318 C6X mid life heavy maintenance , managing the design and developement of new PRM/TSI elements of the overhaul programme inlcuding new interiors and targetted PRM TSI compliance.Project Manager/ Engineer on £2.5 Million project from contract negotiation to installtion to equip NXEA fleet with new wireless CCTV systems prior to 2012 Olympic deadline , this entailed fittment on over 130 trains on depot using a new supplier to the UK rail market who are based in Australia.Project Engineer on Class 320 EMU C6 fleet overhaul including targeted PRM compliance and design and development of new Universal Access Toilets and onboard CET facilities with Alte based in Spain.

Member of the Network Rail Crossrail team, based in Paddington which are delivering £2.3 billion of on network works associated with the Crossrail project. Responsible for traction and rolling stock issues, primarily the Crossrail Train Infrastructure Interface Specification. The TIIS is a technical document which sets out the interfaces between the fixed infrastructure and future rolling stock, this will form part of the ITT for the new Crossrail Rolling Stock. The role involves multi displanary mangement of engineers and several external stakeholders including DfT, RfL, TfL.

Responsibilities included managing the technical engineering aspects of the proposed Croydon Tramlink Extension. The project was expected to be the first London Trams extension project to be completed at an anticipated cost of around £100 million. The role included managing the design team, highlighting any engineering, planning and construction issues.

Interfleet was created as one of the world's first privatised rail technology consultancies and was orignally British Rail's InterCity Engineering arm.

Stagecoach is a major rail operator and has an involvement in running a quarter of the passenger network in the UK. I was a key member of New Trains Team delivering a £2 billion contract for new Desiro rolling stock for South West Trains and Silverlink Trains,which won the Project of the Year at the National Rail Awards in 2004.Based in Germany, I was the manager of Stagecoach Rail’s Düsseldorf office, supervising the work of various specialist acceptance and testing staff. The key focus was on the completion and delivery to programme of new rolling stock for the UK.

Member of the Major Contracts Team managing the £1 billion contract for Pendolino trains on the West Coast Main line. I was based in Leicestershire at the Old Dalby ex-British Rail test track, my role was effectively as resident engineer to expedite and resolve supplier issues.
