Responsible for maintaining a 52-acre salt marsh with three other employees. This includes removing debris that washes up onto the preserve from adjacent canals, maintaining the gravel trails and other equipment visitors use on the property, recording how many visitors enter the preserve on a daily basis, and as well as observing and recording different bird and wildlife species that are present on the marsh. This recorded data would then be uploaded onto a data where certain universities would use to calculate migratory patterns of different bird species, approximate dates for hunting season, and so forth.

Responsible for training and supervising crew members and incoming managers. Ensuring all food safety procedures are strictly adhered to according to sanitary regulations. Carrying out company policies and procedures regarding the handling of cash, auditing inventory levels to ensure product availability and so forth.

Responsible for training incoming crew members and assisting with shift managers with day to day operations.

Preparation of menu food items, serving customers, handling a cash draw and maintaining a clean kitchen as well as seating area.

Worked as an intern for the Student Escape Center which was an organization funded by SUNY College at Old Westbury. This organization specialized in helping students on campus who were found to be using prohibited substances such as alcohol, and marijuana. Services included counseling and follow up support to help students to refrain from substance use and abuse. I was responsible for setting up the counseling room for group therapy sessions and to assist in music therapy sessions. Along with my other fellow interns, I was responsible for facilitating a multitude of school events which helped educate students on the risks of substance use, abuse and how to reduce school stress. Some of the other school events I was responsible for included HIV Awareness Month. Other responsibilities included clerical office work such as organizing students files, sending out e-mails for appointments, and helping our supervisor with daily tasks.
