• Held responsibility for the comprehensive lifecycle of Avaya telecommunications infrastructure, encompassing design, implementation, and ongoing support, with a focus on high availability and including all aspects of voice and electronic fax technologies.• Designed, installed, and rigorously tested high availability and disaster recovery strategies for Avaya telecommunications systems.• Collaborated with the Director of Infrastructure and Security to negotiate contracts with major carriers such as Verizon. These contracts covered a spectrum of telecommunications-related aspects, including maintenance, hardware, software, and services, as well as other unified services.• Oversaw the Skype for Business system, collaborating closely with desktop, database, network, and server teams as needed to ensure optimal system performance and availability.• Spearheaded the design, configuration, and execution of 'Proof of Concept' and 'Pilot' phases for Microsoft Teams as an alternative to Exchange Unified Messaging and as a potential PBX replacement.• Contributed to the design, implementation, and ongoing support of Exchange Server 2016, Exchange Online, Microsoft Azure, Microsoft Intune, and related technologies.• Assumed the role of Project Lead in close partnership with XMedius, ensuring the successful migration of 800 users from Exchange Unified Messaging to AVST CX-E 9.• Worked closely with the broader infrastructure team to ensure seamless compatibility of telecommunications systems with the firm's server and network infrastructure.• Collaborated closely with the User Support group, actively participating in the development of end-user educational materials and providing essential information to the Help Desk team for day-to-day support activities.
