Perform all aspects of design related to the Manikin frame and subsystems such as chest compression, intubation, body sounds, dilating eyes, air system, bleeding, and catheterization. Guide electrical and programming engineers to ensure seamless systems integration. Build and test prototypes to ensure design meets performance and durability specifications. Write assembly process documentation and user manuals.Supervise machine shop staff, junior engineers, and contract personnel. Identify each team member’s strengths and assign tasks accordingly. Provide technical leadership and mentoring for entire engineering team. Review drawings and mark up in accordance with GD&T. Review resumes, interview candidates and refer hiring recommendations to senior management. Provide current products engineering support for legacy human and K-9 manikins, mobile UH-60 and CV-22 aircraft simulators and Simulation Center building projects.Manage 3-D print farm operations with emphasis on continuous improvement. Upgrade and maintain fleet of Craftbot IDEX and Creality CR-10 printers to utilize advanced materials such as nylon composites, polycarbonate and TPU for production of end-use parts. Show less
