    Temple Academy was founded on the basis of academic excellence in the field of study of entertainment. It was broken up into three basic categories from which students could train: Acting, Singing and Dancing. It began humbly as a small program providing theatrical training to kids ages eight to 18 and over the years has grown in size and is now able to offer classes to younger age groups as well focusing on the basics giving them a strong foundation for when they progress to the more difficult classes offered to a older age demographic. The Dance Department in particular was geared toward a basic knowledge of dance vocabulary and physical technique. Each class was 2 hours in length the first half dedicated to written activities such as writing assignments, tests, and quizzes. The second was focussed on physical warm ups and stretches leading up to lastly learning dance combos some of which would be featured in a final end of semester dance showcase for the students parents and friends.
