Recently retired, ending a 43-year (to the day) career in the Aerospace and Defense Power, Electronics and Connectivity manufacturing industries. During my career, I held positions in Quality Assurance (inspection, supervision and management), Program Management, Project Engineering, Project Management, Marketing Management, Account Management, Bid and Proposals Management, Business Development and Business Development Management.

A 43 Year veteran of the Aerospace and Defense Power and Electronics industries, with background in Quality Assurance (inspection, supervision and management), program management, project engineering, sales and marketing management and business development. As Project Manager, I am responsible for the execution of all aspects of any project involving two or more company performance centers, engaged with a customer on the same program, ensuring that the project activities are carried out in accordance with technical and contractual requirements, schedules and budgets. The project manager serves as the focal point within the company, for communications with the customer (both internal and external) and is responsible for ensuring all customer requirements are properly flowed down to all functional performance centers and departments within the company.

Responsibilities include; generation and delivery of sales revenue for the business unit and the corporation, ensuring that sales revenue generates profits at the targeted levels, development and maintenance of multifaceted and intimate customer relationships, ensuring the company’s products and services are supported in an intelligent, responsive, innovative and professional manner and the management of the communication and relationships between customers and each manufacturing facility.

Management of material and labor estimating staff, review and analysis of Requests for Quote/Pricing/Information (RFQ/RFP/RFI), providing advice on bid strategy, risk assessment and analysis of cost and price data requirements for proposals dealing primarily with specialty-electronics contract manufacturing for Aerospace and Defense opportunities within the Federal Government, as well as high-end commercial and industrial applications.

Management of the complete and accurate pricing of all assembly, test and inspection labor and materials required for manufacture, test and quality, on-time delivery of complex electronic and electromechanical assemblies for the defense/aerospace and high-end industrial and commercial industries. Oversee preparation and analysis of all outgoing bid packages.

Reporting directly to the VP of Sales/Marketing, my responsibilities included providing sales and marketing support for new and existing customers. Support includes, but is not limited to; 1) the generation and delivery of sales revenue for the corporation; 2) ensuring that sales revenue generates profits at the targeted levels; 3) development and maintenance of multifaceted and intimate customer relationships; 4) ensuring the company’s products and services are supported in an intelligent, responsive, innovative and professional manner; 5) overseeing all quoting, pricing, and terms of sales/marketing strategies and 6) management of the communication and relationships between customers and each manufacturing facility.

Responsibilities included the acquisition and addition of new business to the backlog accounts of the nine operating departments of Eagle-Picher Technologies, LLC. Specifically; 1) the generation of new business ideas and options; 2) location and identification of any existing or future synergism between the nine departments; 3) research of company histories, financial requirements and concerns; 4) market studies and 5) forecasting of pertinent market trends. Coordination, preparation and presentation of marketing and business plans, provided to divisional, departmental and operational levels of management such that better informed business decisions can be made.
