The goal of this project was to process sentences from our housed database and categorically identify them as data we wanted to… Show more There were three unique projects that I contributed in developing during my time at ABB Enterprise Software: EG PDF Extraction, MISO LMP Prediction, and Audit Log Analysis.Project 1 (EG PDF Extraction):During my time as a Data Science Intern, I worked in a 3 person team to develop and deploy a Machine Learning Natural Language Processing Python Program. The goal of this project was to process sentences from our housed database and categorically identify them as data we wanted to extract. This project involved the reading, cleaning, and parsing PDF labels. The next process involved using Keras with a Tensorflow backend to generate a LSTM with Dense ANN layers. Finally a web and local application was developed so co-working analysts would be able to use our tool.Project 2 (MISO LMP Prediction):This project involved predicting the locational marginal pricing of the cost of electricity on the MISO grid. This project was a 3 man based team, with the goal of providing future prices to investing based clients. The historical data was provided by our in house Velocity Suite Software and Databases. Our Python script was autonomously triggered using Microsoft's Data Bricks and Data Factory. We generated predictions 24 hours ahead of time during the night and retrained our model every month.Project 3 (Audit Log Analysis):This was a solo project in which the task was to optimize our marketing and client training efforts. The project involved querying our database which then was cleaned, merged, and manipulated using Pandas. The Python script exported data tables based on user conditions. These data tables were then used for generating visualizations for our managers to use and decide how to properly train our clients on how to properly use our software. Show less
