High & Dry is an ongoing project to document the many faces of California’s magnificent deserts and the people who live there. With images and words, photographer Osceola Refetoff and writer/historian Christopher Langley take stock of the current landscape, focusing on its relationship to human activity, and exploring remnants of past enterprise to inform future uses.
