Oversees the business processes associated with the coordination and maintenance of automated records and information related to the Investigative, Intelligence or Forensic Services functions of the Department and the operation of the assigned automated systems. This includes the Department’s receipt of any automated records obtained from external entities for the assigned system.Reviews and analyzes data, identifies problems, and recommends corrective action regarding the Department’s automated systems. Prepares reports recording the results of systems work performed, including recommendations for corrective action. Confers with management on studies and recommendations regarding automated system’s efficiency and effectiveness.This position will be responsible for the coordination (and delivery, as needed) of training related to assigned automated systems.Conducts management studies and prepares written documentation to assist the Investigations & Forensic Science Program Office (IFS) in streamlining functions to promote efficient and effective accomplishment of Program objectives. Provides research, analysis, and assimilation of information relative to policies, procedures, and guidelines that directly or indirectly have an impact on IFS data, and assists the section supervisor in the development and management of operational procedures.Function as the back-up for other section members due to leave, when required.

Provided management, oversight, direction and coordination of work to members within the CJIS Service Area Information Delivery and Training Team by planning workloads, prioritizing competing or conflicting responsibilities, establishing or enforcing deadlines, and directing effort toward accomplishing the objectives in the Bureau's strategic plan. Responsible for coordinating the design, development, implementation and delivery of products related to criminal justice information systems such as FCIC, FALCON, CJNet, eAgent, NDEx, Peak Performance products and curriculum development. Acted as the systems administrator and statewide subject matter expert for FCIC, FALCON, CJNet, eAgent, NDEx, Peak Performance products and DAVID systems. Facilitated effective communication with local, state, and federal agencies regarding information related to criminal justice information program planning. Communicated, advised and coordinated with users and agency administrators to identify needs, issues and concerns for the development of criminal justice information programs. Coordinated the design and delivery of all aspects of the criminal justice information systems training, ensured appropriate curriculum development, prepared training staff, coordinated training delivery and evaluated training. Assisted the Policy and Planning Administrator with long range planning for the section to include the legislative budget review process, bill analysis, feasibility studies, etc. Consulted with local, state, and federal agencies throughout the state relating to criminal justice information initiatives.
