My professional mission has centered on the impact of class, race, and other Social Determinates of Health, on access to high quality cancer diagnostics and treatments. Our work focuses on broadening access and ensuring the distribution of new treatment across historically marginalized populations. The ultimate goal of the work, is to bridge the gap between research efforts in cancer therapeutics, and the realities of patient care, by developing innovative, patient-focused interventions that are thoroughly integrated within the clinical health care delivery system. I remain a Thoracic Medical Oncologist, Clinical Innovator and Physician Executive, with a focus on health equity, and expanded access to care for historically marginalized communities.
