During my time as head of Delivery, I was a member of tretton37’s executive leadership team and responsible for our only cross-regional consulting organisation. Supporting our clients with Test Expertise and Quality Strategy

The position has multiple areas of focus. Designing, building and maintaining an internal platform for our global R&D. The product is a blend of integration and custom built capabilities to support R&D in building, testing and deploying our multiple products. Release traceability and automation of test environments remain to be an important part of the system. Originally​ utilising .net, Javascript and MongoDB in our solution, we later evolved to a microservices based architecture where node and docker replaced our .net components.Quality Architecture and a member of the Test Architect Council. The forum has the responsibility of designing and implementing R&D's Quality Strategy as well as strategic prototyping new tools and methods with the interest of continuous improvement in our development flow. In addition I aid in onboarding with training and provide quality process and product quality gap analysis.Continuous Integration and Test Automation has also been an area of focus while both areas needed evolving in conjunction with one another. A drive to modularised our products, modernise our build system with gradle and support a development flow with CI tools such as Jenkins and CircleCI were all part of a long journey to continuous integration. Besides implementation a lot of energy was spent supporting teams adapt and take responsibility for their CI flows.

Line management tasked with growing two new teams.System Test Team - I was tasked with starting and growing a team who's responsibility was to provide system level quality feedback to the multitude of teams delivering daily into the master branch. The team represented Functional, Performance and Security Specialists who not only conducted system level verification but aimed to build quality in by providing expert consulting to the delivery teams during their design phases.Deployment Development Team - The team had the responsibility of packaging and deploying the product, be that local or to the cloud. The team was also responsible for providing capabilities to manage and monitor the deployments.
