Ridges Iron Ore Mine

Assisting clients to progress projects through pre feasibility, feasibility and execution.Acted as Alternate Quarry Manager at Mt Weld from late September until mid December 2019.Engaged by Galena Mining in January 2020 to oversee development of their box cut and minor ancillary works at the Abra Base Metals Project. I fulfilled the role of QM.

Role was to assist the owners on mining engineering and strategic related matters for a small gold open pit near Southern Cross. The project has now been sold onto another party for development.

Dalgaranga Minesite

Responsible for overseeing resumption of mining at the Dalgaranga mine site. Input into pit designs and schedules, and appointment of mining contractor. Mining commenced in March 2018. Multi pit and multi stage operation moving approx. 1.7 M BCM per month. Significantly improved cash flow in the first two years by a combination of design and staging.

Browns Range

Responsible for mine and infrastructure establishment on a remote green fields site. Oversaw day to day operation of the mine. Mined Australia's first two heavy rare earth open pits. Mining was on a campaign basis from June to December, on time, under budget, zero TRIFR. Significantly reduced strip ratio through design improvements.

Deflector Minesite

Overseeing day to day running of the open pit gold/copper mine. Revised pit design to improve portal access and improve pit economics. Overall strip ratio reduced by 12% with an 18% increase in mined ounces. A wet challenging pit with narrow high grade lodes in a hard basalt host rock.

Joined during feasibility stage and responsible for design and implementation of the copper open pit with all its associated day to day activities. Identified and brought into production high grade gold silver pits with ore sold to a third party.

Responsbile for re commencing operations at this old WMC site. Included pit designs, tendering, approvals, implementation.

Activities focussed on improving site production and cashflow. Also leading role in extending the life of the operation
