Chairperson of the Prosecutor Vetting Commission of Moldova: The Commission is established by legislative act of the Republic of Moldova, and is a component of Moldova’s process of accession to the European Union. The Commission will conduct an extraordinary assessment, over the next two years, of the financial and ethical integrity of senior members of Moldova’s prosecution services. Prague

The Central and East European Law Institute (CEELI) is a Prague-based NGO implementing projects designed to advance the rule of law. As Executive Director, I oversaw strategic planning, program development, financial operations, staffing, and fundraising. I had overall responsibility for the operation of our conference and residential facilities in Prague, as well as implementation of all projects, both in Prague and abroad. I worked closely with our Board to provide overall institutional vision as we grew and expanded our operations.

As Principal Deputy Director of the Office of Overseas Prosecutorial Development, Assistance and Training (OPDAT), I oversaw a diverse, 100 million dollar portfolio of assistance projects, funded by the US Government's foreign assistance budget. I supervised a team of 85 attorneys, analysts and administrative staff, located both at OPDAT headquarters and at 35 overseas embassy postings. With the Director, I had overall responsibility for project development, management and oversight. I reviewed and oversaw development of project proposals, workplans and budgets. I was responsible, with the Director, for overall financial management of the office, and also dealt with all aspects of Human Resources, including recruitment, performance evaluation and employee discipline. I mentored and motivated staff to promote effective performance and create a dynamic work environment. I worked with donors to ensure expanded funding for the office.
