Conducts safety inspections, conducts and completes hazard assessments on processes and individual projects and provides education/training to support a safe environment at the shipyard.Conducts confined space testing and issuing permits. Recently transfered to a new project through my Union Local 1907 . I have been placed as a general foreman for the roadworks. (40 km long 4 lane highway starting in Tswwassen ending in North Surrey by Highway 1. - Oversee field operations in roadworks department. - Coordinate scheduling with sub-contractors - Report to project manager, construction manager and senior company officials on progress , scheduling , health and safety concerns on project. - effectively lead multiple crews at different locations throughout project on daily tasks. - Perform/lead daily safety meetings with all crews including sub- contractors - Respond to any medical emergency on project - Ensure paving schedule meets all targets on schedule / coordinate sub contractors to follow suit - Design evacuation/ emergency protocols for all crews under my direction - Set examples as a leader to promote a safe working environment* No injuries or lost time by any employees under my direction. 20 mega watt Run the River Project ( 154 million dollars project as a joint venture between 3 companies )-first responder to all emergencies on project . - maintain pre hospital care protocol- conduct inventory for ground ambulance , medical kits in helicopter , first aid room in camp, first aid kits on job site . - conduct workplace inspections for compliance - lead daily safety meetings to all employees onsite - active member of health and safety committee - hold joint meetings between senior management ,union officials and employees at monthly intervals . - Perform quarter audits to ensure health and safety programs efficiency and effectiveness - Coordinate with governing agencies such as WorkSafeBC , BC Safety Authority , Fire , Police and BC Ambulance service - Design Return to Work , Injury Management , evacuation , responding to accidents , confine space entry , camp emergencies and medical evac protocols . - provided medical care on ground (location , ambulance, medical room, in air (via helicopter enroute to St. Mary's hospital in Sechelt ) by boat ( enroute to St. Mary's hospital and/or walk in clinic. ) - provide orientations to all new hire/ site visitors, VIP's etc - design environmental procedures including but not limited to ; contact with wildlife , proper storage of chemicals , gasoline, diesel, , avalanche training - innovate and revamp radio protocols for camp and project including air operations , ground and all boat traffic . - Coordinate with Emergency Services (Coast guard ,Fire , Police , Ambulance, during any incident when required)- Manage day to day operations in Health and Safety department - Lead investigations into causes of accidents and incidents on project including outcome and advocating prevention of repeat. *promoted to Associate Health and Safety Manager after 3 months* Zero fatalities achieved during tenure* Introduced cost saving plan on all medical and protective equipment supplies

Building Envelope Projects throughout Vancouver, residential commercial and industrial .
