Graduate Research AssistantVehicle Systems & Control Laboratory (Vscl) Jan 2021 - PresentCollege Station, Texas, United States- Manage system identification flight testing efforts of both fixed-winged and multirotor small Unmanned Air Systems (sUAS).- Conduct system identification for a fixed-winged sUAS with inverted V-Tail, quadrotors, and hexacopters with over 79 sorties performed and 590 datasets collected to date. - Utilize the Observer/Kalman Identification (OKID) Algorithm to generate continuous linear time-invariant state-space models of vehicles.- Implement user interface in MATLAB to allow user to specify the structure of the state-space model, truncate data for use in generating model, and the filters to apply to the data.- Managed and conducted weekly meetings with a team of seven undergraduate students to train an agent to track a ground vehicle using a Soft Actor Critic Reinforcement Learning (RL) and prepare air vehicle and ground target for flight test demonstrations.- Lead seven flight tests of a trained agent onboard a hexacopter small Unmanned Air System (sUAS).- Participated in successful flight test demonstrations with multiple UAS in front of VIP visitors as a ground handler and ground control station operator. -
