Responsible for overall Fixed Income Technology service delivery including managing major system outages, coordinating with application support and infrastructure teams as well as key business stakeholders to minimize impact and ensure business continuity. In addition, responsible for the group’s data architecture and fixed income’s risk data platform, with both technical and operational teams under my direction.Recently managed a firm-wide initiative to replace our primary provider of Fixed Income security and portfolio level risk data. Conducted a thorough risk system vendor evaluation over a 9-month period, including vendor deep dive Q&A sessions, system “test drives” and evaluation of test results and RFP responses from 4 short-listed candidates. The program included 3 project streams: index data acquisition and reporting, security level analytics and portfolio risk. While managing the concurrent development efforts of the data acquisition, distribution and consumer systems, I partnered with our quantitative research team to develop an in-house analytics calculator which was used as a corroborative source to triangulate between the legacy and new data provider.Built a robust set of risk data oversight tools which monitor day over day security level analytics and portfolio risk data. Hired and developed a new Operations team responsible for investigating and resolving the daily exceptions. Formed and currently chair a Risk Data Policy Group which raises strategic questions to a senior team of business and operations managers for direction, consensus and approval.

Application Development Manager responsible for Fixed Income Reference Data content across the Investment Bank. Managed a global team of 40 employees and consultants across 5 locations: Jersey City, Stamford, London, Sao Paolo, and Bangalore. The team was part of a shared services group providing reference data (client, legal entity, issuer, instrument, et. al) from a single set of master databases using best of breed data integration technologies: Informatica for ETL, TIBCO EMS for message transport, and Java Open Source (Spring, Struts, Hibernate) for the user interface and business object layer.

• Managed a team of 7 developers to streamline the way the bank processes fixed-income trades. The project required an automated interface between a newly installed front office system and a legacy back office system. In addition, it required the development of an internal clearing system which matched incoming and outgoing settlement instructions. The project spanned multiple platforms (VAX, DEC Alpha, Sun), multiple databases (RMS, Sybase), and multiple tool sets (VAX BASIC, C, Powerbuilder). Coordinated the efforts of several user groups as well as 3 outside vendors (CITIBANK, ACT International, Montran).
