I was employed to check the accuracy of a publication data base (ORCA) held centrally in Cardiff University for all academic staff employed in the School of Dentistry, as part of the preparation for the national Research Excellence Framework (REF) 2014. This involved contacting and arranging to interview each member of academic staff (head count 48) within a specific timeframe, to ensure that all relevant publications were recorded and details were in agreement with those held on PubMed.
