Engaged in the development process of a new multi-modal port on existing industrial lands to facilitate trade in natural resource rich Northern Ontario including:- Coordinated with consultants for on-site surveys- Participated in meetings to discuss land uses, potential risks of development and expected economic growth to local areas- Worked closely with multiple stake holders such as first nations communities, local governments, and local businessesAided in day-to-day operations of the port, including:- Performed stockpile load calculations to assess viability of accepting shipments from incoming vessels - Coordinated with clients to arrange shipments- Installed software to improve weigh scale operation and aid in correct billing of current and future customers- Researched, and prepared proposals for capital expenditure projects for improvement of existing facilities
