Upon starting at Ashley Furniture we had a total of 65 forklifts pallet jacks and stock pickers. After 1 year of service I had earned the position of shop lead mechanic. By the end of my third year, Ashley had added an additional 100 units, and 2 additional mechanics. Due to the strong growth Ashley was experiencing, I earned the position of Maintenance Supervisor.Currently today I manage:. 372+ machines located in 4 different facilities throughout 2 different cities. . Responsible for all needed service and repairs of roughly 300 machines. Follow direct orders and instruction from shop foreman and shop supervisors. Work with warehouse supervisors to ensure they have the equipment needed to do their daily work.Duties and responsibilities include but not limited to:- Check test and troubleshoot equipment as assigned by shop foreman and or shop supervisor.- Responsible for making sure all safety fetchers of the units are working properly as installed by the manufacture.- Check work orders to make sure equipment gets PM service if due.- Ensure sure work orders are complete, parts annotated and work complete.
