My name is Christopher Limon, I am currently a student at the University of Texas at Dallas majoring in actuarial science. I graduated from Glenda Dawson High School in 2023, and I am very grateful for the wonderful environment I was given to cultivate my academic interests. I thoroughly enjoyed subjects such as calculus and statistics in high school, and continuing with this field in college has been just as rewarding. Math and analytics have always been an interest of mine, and having the opportunity to study these topics at a high academic level is a great privilege.I have experience working as a martial arts instructor and the skills this position taught me across my 9 years of practicing and almost 4 years of teaching have been vital in many other areas of my life. I have learned to communicate complex ideas and details to a wide range of people. I hold a third degree black belt in taekwondo and teaching has helped me to understand the sport at an even deeper level as well as stay fit. I have learned to organize events, lead a group, and present ideas to an audience articulately.Additionally, I have experience assisting both therapists and patients at a skilled nursing facility through summer volunteer work. It was a very positive and rewarding experience. Meeting many patients and communicating with them was both enjoyable and eye opening. I heard so many interesting stories and experiences, and I am very grateful for the opportunity.
