Served in various command and staff positions from platoon through division level for light and mechanized infantry units. Two positions are highlighted below. Brigade S3 for 3,569 Soldier light infantry brigade providing guidance to units in the areas of training, operations/plans and force development and modernization. Chief of the operations cell and coordinating staff officer for all tactical operations within the brigade.• While serving as brigade S3, the brigade was submitted for the Army Superior Unit Award and the Meritorious Unit Commendation for actions related to Operation Iraqi Freedom (OIF) 09-11.• During OIF 09-11, managed all aspects of force protection / security operations for the largest US base in Iraq, Victory Base Complex (VBC), with over 50,000 personnel which saw over 1,000 vehicles and 7,000 individuals enter daily. • During OIF 09-11 assisted in the planning and execution of two United States Presidential visits to Iraq.• Developed and implemented a targeting process for full spectrum combat operations which was recognized by a senior mentor as the best he had ever seen.Commanded a 108 Soldier mechanized infantry company prepared for deployment worldwide within 24 hours and executing missions along the entire spectrum of conflict in any theater of operations. Maintained and accounted for over 24 combat vehicles and equipment valued in excess of $25 million.• Overcame numerous obstacles to successfully defeat over 300 Soldiers during an 18 hour simulated battle at the National Training Center. My company was the only company out of eight to be recognized for outstanding tactical achievement by the brigade commander.• With 50% less preparation then contemporaries, my company earned the award for best company out of four on M2A2 Bradley Fighting Vehicle qualification (Bradley Table VIII), the best squad out of 36 during day/night live fire, and the best platoon out of 12 for combined arms live fire qualification (Bradley Table XII).

Company’s senior representative in country responsible for maintaining relations with the Government of Iraq (GOI) and the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG). Responsible for maintaining all GOI/KRG licenses required to operate in Iraq and ensuring compliance with host nation laws. Responsible for the support provided to projects and the risk management, security, incident/crisis management, purchasing and budget of the in country headquarters (FOB). Provides management, leadership, vision and over site of all 43 foreign/local national personnel assigned to the FOB. Responsible for in country business development to include proposal input, pricing and developing all aspects of the operational plan from mobilization to demobilization. Work with the company’s security clearance team to ensure positions are staffed with appropriately cleared personnel. Supervise Project Managers (PM) assigned to commercial projects and select US Government (USG) contracts ensuring all contractual commitments are met within schedule, budget and scope.

Managed over 90 personnel at 6 sites throughout Iraq organized into 13 different mounted security teams providing convoy escort and Private Security Detachment (PSD) support to the US Government. Responsible for the security operations, risk management, physical security, threat assessments, incident/crisis management and all administrative tasks related to the SSS-I contract.• For 2012, received a Contractor Performance Assessment Report (CAPR) rating of Very Good in all four areas evaluated (Quality of Service, Schedule, Business Relations, and Management of Key Personnel). • Passed all Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA) inspections.• Received commendable comments from the Contracting Officer's Representative (COR) on numerous occasions due to the professionalism and quality of support provided.

Responsible for synchronizing the FOB staff (110 personnel) in support of numerous USG and commercial clients throughout Iraq. Provided direct oversight and supervision of the guard force, access control, K9 teams, and PSD teams assigned to the FOB. Responsible for the organization and operation of the company’s FOB Tactical Operations Center. • Planned, executed, and supervised security operations throughout Iraq to include the FOB with no major incidents.

Site Manager for the approximately 670 person COB Basra Security Force, which was the largest DOD site in Southern Iraq. Managed all COB Basra security personnel and locations to include static sites, entry control points, mounted patrol operations, quick reaction force operations, and explosive detection dog team operations. • Awarded Certificate of Appreciation from the Contracting Officer’s Representative (COR) for “…outstanding leadership and professional excellence while providing security on COB Basra.”• Earned 12 out of 13 excellence ratings in an official Past Performance Questionnaire completed by the COR covering: Management Ability & Effectiveness, Quality, Cost / Price, and General performance. Excellent ratings “Indicates that the contractor’s performance within the area of evaluation clearly exceeds contractual requirements.” The only area not rated “excellent" concerned corrective action. It was not observed because no corrective actions were ever issued.• The COR stated the “Overall performance has been superior to date” and that his “Chain of Command is very pleased with the performance of Triple Canopy.” In addition, the COR summarized the report as follows: “Triple Canopy has met or exceeded all requirements under this task order to date. Their management team on COB Basra is very professional and is always finding ways to improve their service.”• In a 20-day period, planned, executed, and managed the mobilization of approximately 670 personnel on time and on budget allowing Triple Canopy to begin the period of performance on time and meeting all contract requirements.

Project Manager for the approximately 1800 man Baghdad Embassy Security Force (BESF). Provide management, leadership, vision, and over site for all static BESF sites and personnel to include incorporating explosive detection dog teams into security operations.• Maintained security for the largest Department of State site in Iraq with zero security violations.• Managed a multi-million dollar budget meeting or exceeding all budget objectives.• Implemented numerous systems to improve and streamline operations, training and staff activities. • Improved customer relations by focusing on the requirements of the customer and instilling a team concept across the project.• Improved project morale and welfare by dramatically improving communication with all employees, addressing concerns in a timely manner and providing a common vision for the project.

Operations officer for the Validation Transition Team – South (VTT-S). This team was the coalition forces single point of contact for validating and re-validating all Afghan National Army (ANA) units assigned to the 205th Afghan National Army Corp. The operations officer supported the validation of ANA units and coordinated with the Ministry of Defense (MOD) for an Afghan manned VTT capability. Assisted in the production of collective training assessments and validation feedback to assessed ANA units and provided observations, insights, and lessons learned to the G3 MOD team. • Awarded the Department of the Army Commander’s Award for Civilian Service for displaying exceptionally meritorious service, extraordinary professionalism and expertise in support of the VTT. • Advised and mentored U.S. Army and coalition members of VTT-S in the execution of the validation mission and the preparation of the validation packet used to certify Afghan Army units to capability milestone level 1. This advice and mentorship focused on techniques to evaluate staff systems across all war fighting functions for battalion, brigade and corps level units, as well as drafting a concise, coherent and usable validation packet.• Implemented a validation mission scheduling process for VTT-S which provided predictability and focus for VTT-S, Regional Command – South, and ANA units and their coalition partnered units

Responsible for scheduling all aspects of construction for single family homes ranging in price from $100,000 to $300,000+ to include ensuring the home is constructed within budget. Responsible for the overall maintenance of the neighborhood under construction and preparing new neighborhoods for construction. Interacted with construction personnel, city officials, the home buyer and sales team throughout the entire construction process. Supervised and trained junior builders in the construction process.• Built over 125 homes under budget. In a seven month period, built over 35 homes with an average construction time of 40 days, all within budget. Was routinely praised by customers for attention to detail and customer service.• Received praise from building inspectors in two different cities for my attention to detail and quality of work.• Called upon three different times to assist more experienced home builders with fixing issues in their neighborhoods and received praise from each of them and my supervisor on the quality of my performance.• Simultaneously managed three active neighborhoods with over 40 homes under construction at one time while preparing a future neighborhood for construction.
