In addition to my role at Keele, I will be providing external examiner work to UAL involving regular visits to the London College of Fashion and writing annual reports addressed to the Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Academic, amongst other duties.

I am based in the Student Learning team which is part of the Keele Insititute for Innovation and Teaching Excellence. I currently work as part of team that design and deliver extended learning support for students to enable them to become independent and lifelong learners. As well as developing and delivering learning skills workshops and bespoke sessions, I assess learning needs and provide a flexible approach to learning support for students.I won the 'Fantastic Feedback' award from KeeleSU Students Union in 2015 and was nominated for a Keele Excellence Award in 2016 and 2017.Funding received:Keele Teaching Innovation Project 2015/16 (Internal Funding): A project to develop Keele's first cross-faculty UG research conference, due to be held in June 2016. Principal Accountabilities:I was employed to assist in the evaluation and enhancement of the experience of students with the Faculty, ensuring that improvements needed to raise student satisfaction are carried out.I facilitated the ‘student voice’ by acting as a focal point for student queries, feedback and issues, ensuring that all problems and feedback is dealt with appropriately.I currently work to improve student perceptions and experiences in particular areas, such as assessment feedback, organisation and management, by acting as a link between the student and staffing groups at the University.I also provided the following:A first point of contact for students, responding to student queries in a timely manner and referring problems on where they are complex or serious.Support to students at significant transition points during their studies, such as upon entry to the University, throughout the first year and between subsequent levels, by acting as a first point of contact and providing advice and guidance.

Key tasks included:• Preparing and delivering A2 Level Psychology and Level 2 ICT lessons and all associated administrative duties.• Managing content on the college’s Virtual Learning Environment Moodle.• Supervising and marking presentations, essays and research projects.• Composing and delivering frequent group and personal tutorials to students of mixed abilities from Level 1-3, on subjects derived from the 2003 Every Child Matters agenda. • Acting as the pastoral point of contact for students and parents• Managing sensitive and confidential information.• Implementing college policy regarding safeguarding and discipline. • Consistent management of administrative and clerical records for my students.• Working within a team of staff in my subject areas, as well as with the wider college staff in order to support and inform students.

In this part-time position, I performed registrations of marriage at approved premises across Cheshire East district. My role as a Marriage Officer involved liaising with customers and fellow marriage officers, and required high levels of professionalism, organisation and good presentationClerical AssistantKey tasks included:• Clerical and administrative duties including liaising with county coroner’s and suppliers.• Ensuring the efficient operation of the reception area through management of post, email and telephone correspondence and stock orders. • Acting as the first point of contact for users attending sensitive and confidential appointments and requesting birth, death and marriage certificates.

Managing staff and products on the Fresh Food Department.This role involved managing workloads, producing stock order, completing stock takes, budgeting, tracking waste and expenditure.
