I currently work as a Senior Lecturer at Manchester Metropolitan University's University Teaching academy helping to secure a consistent, high-quality student experience through formal and informal continuing academic professional development (ACPD) opportunities for all staff at MMU. I have previously worked as a faculty-linked Teaching Fellow and Learning Developer at Keele University (2013-2021) delivering and designing faculty-based and stand-alone study skills session as part of the Keele Institute for Innovation and Teaching Excellence. I have also held similar roles as a Student Experience Tutor at Manchester Metropolitan University (MMU). Prior to this, I was employed as a Personal Tutor and A-Level Psychology/ICT Lecturer at Macclesfield Further Education College between 2010 and 2013. I currently hold Senior Fellow of AdvanceHE status (SFHEA), Certified Member of the Association of Learning Technologists status (CMALT) and Certified Leading Practitioner statsus (CeLP) through the Association of Learning Development in Higher Education. I hold a PhD in Cultural Studies, as well as a Professional-Graduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) and an MA in Teaching and Learning in Higher Education. I also was awarded a 1st Class Honours Degree in Film, Television and Cultural Studies from MMU with an award for academic excellence.
