Associate in the Restructuring and Insolvency Practice Group

Represented indigent clients under the supervision of the Brooklyn Defenders Services on a variety of issues including but not limited to intake, investigations, advocacy at arraignments, clients and witness communications, and legal research.

Conducts legal research on behalf of the Center on Labor, Human Services, and Population to support Urban’s new Workplace Equity Initiative. Research and writings center on workplace protections and legal standards, with a focus on strengthening protections for low wage contingent workers in precarious jobs; ensuring fairness in algorithmic screening processes; and translating social science research into practice to increase diversity, equity and inclusion across occupations.

Managed the Congresswoman’s daily schedule for all matters outside of the state of California. Booked the Congresswoman’s meetings and events in Washington, DC in order to maintain an efficient and organized daily schedule. Organized all travel logistics for both domestic and international trips. Managed the Congresswoman’s Cuba portfolio, organized informational panels, drafted official letters and correspondence, prepared legislative memoranda, and served as the Congresswoman’s surrogate at various meetings with key congressional allies, advocacy groups, and Cuban officials. Oversaw intern management and provided support for constituent services.

Conducted policy research in the areas of economic development, healthcare, and poverty. Attended hearings and prepared staff memoranda. Drafted legislation and talking points for various programs and panels. Interacted directly with constituents and responded to constituents’ concerns. Managed the front office.

Assisted customers to provide a pleasant and easy shopping experience. Maintained the store by stocking shelves, arranging store displays, and providing friendly customer service.
