My time at St. Joseph’s University provided me with a well rounded education and a solid foundation for any career. My coursework was rigorous and intense, presenting me with challenges and obstacles to face. As a result, I developed a strong work ethic and I learned to persevere. St. Joe’s also provided me with a value oriented education which helped me develop integrity, and strong intellectual and spiritual values. I also realized the importance of serving others and helping those in need. As a result, I’ve spent a significant amount of time volunteering to assist both children and adults. Through my volunteer activities I’ve learned interpersonal skills, compassion, time management and problem solving skills. I have also gained insight about myself and the world around me. My work experience at Sweetbriar Nature Center provided me with the opportunity to work as a team member. I learned that goals can be achieved successfully when we value our differences, respect differing ideas, and support one another. Currently, I am working remotely for Varsity tutors utilizing several online platforms to teach Chemistry and Biology. My ability to plan and prepare lessons, organize materials, budget my time, problem solve, and communicate effectively with others has increased during my time with Varsity. I am currently looking to branch out and work for an innovative company with opportunities to grow and succeed.
