As a Cyber Systems Operations Craftsman, my time at the Air Force Institute of Technology has required multiple roles to accomplish the mission - transitioning from a typical Network Operations Technician to also encompassing a role as a Cyber Security Specialist. During this time I was a Subject Matter Expert for:- AFIT's HBSS (Host Based Security System - McAfee), responsible for tracking all incidents and working closely with Cyber Security for elevation and Network Security.- Server TCNO (Time Compliance Network Order) and Patch Updates and Monitoring through Microsoft's WSUS and BMC's Client Mangement Software.- Microsoft Exchange and Outlook Administration including Barracuda Email Gateway Services.Some of my accomplishments in this period are as follows:- Project Lead (Following traditional PMP cert based requirements) for the Air Force Institute of Technology's $13M Software License Management Program.- Sole Enlisted Member selected for admittance into the LASER program partnered between the Department of Defense and MIT (Massachusetts Institute of Technology. (Certificate available))- Project Lead for AFIT's transition to BlackBerry AtHoc Cloud Solutions, this software provides incident response notification and was pivotal in support during the Wright-Patterson Air Force Base Active Shooter incident in August 2018.- Completed my CCAF in Information Systems Technology.- Awarded the Air Force - Air University Information Dominance award, NCO Category for 2019.

As a Cyber Systems Operations Apprentice I was responsible for adapting to Air Force regulations and adhering to Department of Defense guidelines for Operations and Cyber Security, during this regiment of upgrade training I was responsible for:- Customer Support and Hardware/Software operations (CompTIA A+ level technician)- User role management through Active Directory Administration/Engineering- Completing Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (training)After completing upgrade training and garnering the job level promotion to Cyber Systems Operations Craftsman, my responsibilities now included providing mentorship to younger (age/job level) associates and managing higher level taskings. During which I was designated a subject matter expert for:- Tivoli Network Monitoring Solutions Expert (Primary use for all stand-by and on-call personnel for HQ Weather Air Force)- VMware Administrator with Cloud Operations experience- BMC Bomgar Remote Assistance- Raytheon High Speed Guards (Secure Information Sharing)- AFW-WEBS (Air Force's premier Weather App that is still in use today)
