Chris is a tri-lingual senior regulatory lawyer having worked in food and beverages, media, broadcasting and telecommunications. He was previously Group General Counsel with Maxim’s Caterers Limited and also Hong Kong Cable TV Ltd in Hong Kong. Chris has in-house experience having worked for top HK publishing company Next Media Limited. In addition, he has gained valuable experience in transportation and logistics/supply-chain obtained at Kerry Logistics Network Limited as its Legal Counsel. He is HK (2001) and UK (2001) qualified has solid legal and regulatory compliance, commercial, litigation (particularly defamation cases), data privacy, Customer Complaint Settlement Scheme set up by the telecommunications industry, Competition Ordinance, Trade Descriptions Ordinance, OFCA and Consumer Council experience in the food and beverages, broadcasting, publishing, television and internet industries. Chris is originally from Hong Kong and then went to the UK for his legal education obtaining his BA in Business Studies (Hons) (with Distinction) and then received his CPE and LPC at the College of Law in London. He has solid private practice training, and good law firm experience working for 3 years with Paul Hastings in Hong Kong in the Corporate, Litigation, and Corporate Finance groups. Prior to commencing his legal career, Chris worked in London for 15 years including 5 years as a Trade Consultant for Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office and 10 years in the clothing industry where he obtained a keen understanding for business and trade related issues.
