BSc (hons) geography graduate from Bangor University.I am a keen geographer, and have been since my early school years. I carried this on throughout university, developing specific interests in:GlaciationGISClimate ChangeFlooding and natural disastersHydrological modelling I have carried this through into my working life, and now work with GIS software, helping to implement and maintain it for clients within the UK's emergency services. I have moved into more of a client services role, and have found that interacting with clients has given me valuable insights into how customers view products in comparison to the corporation making the sale. This has allowed me to understand the importance of customer satisfaction and enchantment. I have also spent the last three years in a product owner role, in addition to my software support role. As a part of this, I work with customer working groups to gather requirements and manage the priorities of new features. In the future, I hope to use my skills in GIS to continue to make the world a better place, and I hope to complete a Masters degree with relation to climate change and natural disasters, specifically with how we can use GIS to mitigate against the impacts these events have on our society.Outside of my working life, I play cricket passionately for Kirkley CC in Northumberland, recently standing down as 2nd Team Captain. I have previously been secretary, and then a year later, Club Captain of the Bangor University Cricket Club.
