Responsible for providing environmental support, guidance, and reviews/audits for all Lane projects on the eastern seaboard (exc. Florida) and Texas. Developed and implemented new environmental training resources companywide (New hire training, specialty engineer and foreman classes, toolbox talks, etc). Perform comprehensive bid development reviews including risk and opportunities analysis to assist in proper pricing of environmental compliance. Perform environmental site assessments for new properties. Conduct project file reviews, and comprehensive on-site compliance audits.

Provide environmental support to construction, design, and public relations on the 16.9 mile light rail line through heavily developed portions of Montgomery and Prince George Counties in Maryland. Responsible for erosion and sediment control inspections, compliance with all project environmental permits (NPDES, USACE, MDE, FTA), prepare and facilitate modifications to approved plans as necessary to advance construction, and coordinate with owner and regulatory personnel daily. Responsible for maintaining project environmental documentation including commitment matrix, permits, and other items for audits. Oversee the issuance and closure of deficiency and non-conformance reporting for environmental issues.

As a Senior Environmental Scientist, I have been responsible for various activities from proposal development, staff management, wetland delineation, permitting, Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments, and Hazardous Waste studies. During my time at Dewberry I have worked to transition from a primarily field-centric employee to roles of increasing responsibility and management. Two example projects are below: Prepared a detailed routing study for a new 2-mile long 230 kV transmission line between a Dominion substation and a Pepco Substation. The report identified 9- alternatives in a heavily congested area. The routing study required a high level of communication and coordination to maintain project schedule(s) and good working relationships.Development Site, Prince William County, VA. Environmental Scientist. Provided Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessment services including soil testing and remediation. On behalf of the owner provided oversite to the remediation contractor and coordinated cleanup of Recognized Environmental Conditions with the Virginia Department of Environmental Quality including obtaining case closure from the DEQ Petroleum Program. Project was to provide landowner due diligence for the sale of an 87 acre parcel.

Geographic Information Systems- Generated Shapefile layers in ArcMap and permit submittals for Environmental Data deliverables for Wetland Code of Practice Submittals for 456 wetlands.Client, Sub-contractor, and Landowner Coordination- Provided updates on progress and goals to client and subcontractors. Included: management of subcontractors, review of site-specific regulatory history, performance of site inspections, completion of site safety briefings, compilation of site data, and development of appropriate ESA sampling plans and reports for submission and record-keeping. Co-authored the Master Sampling Plan, Health & Safety Plan, and Quality Assurance Plan. • 22nd to 8th Street Station Light Rail Extension, Bayonne, NJ; Field Geologist/Site Safety Manager: Responsible for sample collection on-site safety, and geologic logging during investigation activities for potential contamination at properties for NJ Transit.

Environmental Coordinator- Responsible for scheduling, tracking, and reporting the USEPA Contract Laboratory Program use by EPA Regions 4 and 10. Coordinated information between laboratories and the region regarding program utilization and provided them with case numbers, laboratory information, COCs, and sample labels for the sampling during that week. Also responsible for ensuring that the Regions sent the correct number of samples to the correct laboratories and for acting as a middleman between the Regional client and the respective laboratory on all issues that would arise during analysis.
