I am a highly motivated and dedicated Student Civil Engineer in my third year studying at Griffith University, with a passion for Geotechnical Engineering. Over the past 7 years I have obtained an in depth knowledge of a broad range of geological and soil mechanics as a laboratory technician and manger, working on major projects across Australia.I am currently employed as a Geotechnical Laboratory Manager for Butler Partners Pty Ltd a leading Queensland Geotechnical Engineering firm. This role works in conjunction with my degree as I have been given the opportunity to work as a junior engineer along side some of Queensland most experience and prominent Geotechnical Engineers. This has allowed me to strengthen my analytical skills as I have to regularly evaluate the data obtained from the laboratory testing, as well as the efficient of designs.Throughout my career as a Senior Geotechnician I have developed the skills to be a strong leader via traits such as leading by example, this skill was strengthened as I transitioned into a Laboratory Manager. I learnt to utilise the skills of my colleagues to produces the best outcome on the projects we collaborated on, I found this was the most efficient way for our team to operate.
