I worked as the DC Segment Planning and Velocity Operations manager for Yellow’s Pico Rivera Velocity Center. I directed day to day operations for the velocity segment, and coordinated with our Central Dispatch Office as well as our distribution center and satellite terminals to ensure steady movement of priority and economy freight through the Southern Basin and Pacific Northwest. I also directed linehaul operations with our own dispatch to ensure proper departure and arrival for our Utility and Meet and Turn drivers.
